About Me & This Blog
I’ve been into sports since I was 7 years old, I’ve won several championships throughout my life and later on I’ve pursued my professional basketball career where it made me face several uncomfortable situations, whereas, I was emotionally abused which it made dislike it bit by bit and of course my performance started to suffer.
Back then, sports psychology wasn’t even heard of, now, after all these years, this beautiful study started to come to life being one of the most important fields and an essential part of any athletes’ life.
I wished in my days applied sports psychology was present to help me with my career which it had a promising outcomes, instead, it went down the hill through several mental obstacles that I couldn’t overcome them myself because I didn’t even have the support nor right teammates to keep me going.
Today, at 32, with a lot of studies & research, I’m a certified personal trainer, driven by science based nutrition to see the body’s reactions and its tricks, strength & endurance are my to go title.
Passionate about sports and the way they work in parallel with our minds in its most mysterious ways with our behavioral reactions to certain situations either it’s professional or non-professional, either is just to stay fit and healthy, or whatever your goal is.
This blog, is going to be based about several topics covering different aspects of mental skills in sports leading to excellence, its benefits helping an athlete or an amateur how to overcome obstacles by enhancing his ability to understand mental performance leading to a physical performance, and, how to react towards struggles and improve/change perspectives.
Applied sport and exercise psychology involves extending theory and research into the field to educate coaches, athletes, parents, exercisers, fitness professionals, and athletic trainers about the psychological aspects of their sport or activity. A primary goal of professionals in applied sport and exercise psychology is to facilitate optimal involvement, performance, and enjoyment in sport and exercise.
